Well the snow is coming down, the Christmas trees are going up, and many movie nerds are thinking about gifts for their fellow movie friends are maybe just themselves. Either way the videostore is doing it’s best to give you great and surreal ideas to make the upcoming holiday season as twisted and etertaining as possible. This week some goodies are making their way to the old videostore with that in mind so let’s take a look shall we….

A personal favourite of the shop…Harry Angel (Mickey Rourke) is a private detective contracted by Louis Cyphre (Robert De Niro) to track down the iconic singer Johnny Favorite. However, everybody that Angel questions about Favorite seems to meet a tragic demise. Eventually the trail leads Angel to New Orleans where he learns that Favorite had dabbled in the black arts. As Favorite’s whereabouts and true identity become clear, Angel learns that being hired by Cyphre was not a random choice.

On Halloween night in New Salem, Mass., disc jockeys Chilly Billy and Paul tell a twisted anthology of terrifying local myths that lead to a grim end for small-town residents
