Well we keep on rocking with our masks on in this world and the movies keep us entertained in the late night or early morning maybe with some whiskey or that might just be me. Either way here we go…this week’s movies.

akashi Shimizu’s movie continues Asia’s increasingly fine tradition of modern horror films. The premise is that if a building has endured a singular horror, it absorbs it and returns it to those who visit. A series of seemingly unconnected vignettes, all with a suitably satisfying jolt (including a shower scene Hitchcock would have admired) are slowly pulled together by police investigating the strange events.

When a giant monster attacks Japan, the country’s only hope is a research assistant who’s become monstrously big himself. But there might be a price

Meek flower shop assistant Seymour (Rick Moranis) pines for co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. An all-cynical, all-evil absurdist variety show that parodies the classic educational PBS shows of the 1970s, made up of old cartoons and educational films, children, and puppets from one’s worst nightmares.
